Upcoming Deadlines, Dates and Fees

Test Dates

Registration for the Fall 2017 BPS examination window is open from May 8-August 1, 2017. The Fall 2017 computer-based BPS Examination will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 through Saturday October 7, 2017.

Candidates testing in Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be required to take a paper-based version of the examination, being offered on September 20, 2017. Candidates planning on testing in either of these two countries should check the Fall 2017 Candidate’s Guide for specific information regarding exam administration in their country.

In order to help assure the greatest probability that candidates receive their preferred test date and site, BPS recommends registering as early as possible. The following schedule has been established:

June 1 – June 30, 2017 August 10, 2017
July 1 – August 1, 2017 August 17, 2017


Please note, you will receive your Notice to Schedule email from Caste Worldwide by close of business on the date indicated above. Be sure to add testing@castleworldwide.com to the list of acceptable address so that the email does not get blocked by spam filter.

Applications for the Fall 2017 exam must be submitted by the August 1, 2017 deadline.
If a candidate requires accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the request must be submitted by the August 1, 2017 deadline.


The certification application fee is $600 for those candidates licensed and practicing in the United States or Canada.

The certification application fee is $685 for those international candidates licensed and/or practicing outside of the United States and Canada.

The Certification retake application fee is $300. Only candidates who have failed the certification exam within the past year are eligible for the reduced rate.

All fees are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Board.

Payment Methods

Payments are made in US dollars by check, cashier’s check, or money order made payable to Board of Pharmacy Specialties, e-check, or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). Purchase orders can NOT be accepted.
