All candidates who have been approved to sit for the Fall 2015 BPS examination window should have received a Notice to Schedule email from our test administrator, Castle Worldwide. Test sites fill up on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to schedule your exam as soon as possible if you have not done so already.
Registration for the Spring 2016 testing window will open on the BPS website in January. Examination dates will be announced in the coming months.
Beginning with the Fall 2015 Examination window all initial BPS Certification exams will be 175 questions in length. Initial certification candidates will be permitted a total timed testing period as follows:
Recertification examinations remain unchanged and candidates will be allowed a 2.5 hour testing period to complete the 100-item multiple-choice recertification examination.
An analysis of the BPS certification examinations showed very little change in the predicted internal consistency reliability for the 175 question examination compared to the previous 200 question examination. All candidates are reminded to arrive 15 minutes in advance of their scheduled examination time to allow for both check-in and system log-in.
Beginning with the Fall 2015 test administration, the following changes are in effect for all international candidates (those licensed and/or practicing outside of the United States and Canada):
