Washington, DC – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) announces updated information regarding the April-May 2020 Examination window in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Given the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, BPS is sharing the following information regarding the April-May 2020 Testing Window:

  • Prometric has announced that their test centers in the U.S. and Canada are closed through April 30, 2020; although, some centers may remain closed beyond that date due to local restrictions on certain businesses. Please note that centers outside of the U.S. and Canada may also be closed along similar timelines. Please refer to the Prometric site closures page for updated information. If your exam is cancelled due to a site closure, you will be able to reschedule through the Prometric website on available test dates through June 30, 2020.

  • BPS has extended the April 20 – May 11, 2020 testing window through June 30, 2020 to maximize scheduling flexibility for those who are able to test. Please note that because of the testing window extension, scores will not be available until September 2020. Candidates who have not yet scheduled are advised to select their best option from the available dates; however, availability might be reduced because of high demand from other Prometric clients. Prometric site closures are posted online and the Prometric Candidate Cares team is actively working to reschedule the existing appointments at these locations to a future date in the BPS April-June 2020 window.

  • Prometric has waived all change fees, so candidates who previously scheduled their test and now wish to reschedule to another date in the April-June 2020 testing window may do so by contacting Prometric. We advise candidates to be proactive if seeking to reschedule in the April-June 2020 window. Please note that seats may be limited and delays are to be expected due to high call volumes at this time. Rescheduling can be done on the website or by phone:
