The application form along the portfolio is submitted to BPS ($100 fee) by December 31. Candidates should make certain that complete information is included in order to avoid possible rejection.
The Portfolio Review Committee evaluates each portfolio according to standards determined during the petitioning process.
Once portfolios have been approved, successful candidates receive an engraved certificate from BPS.
Added Qualifications must be reconfirmed every seven years. Reconfirmation is accomplished by submission of a new portfolio reflecting the seven-year period during which the specialist was recognized for his/her Added Qualifications. As with the original portfolio, evaluative standards will be established by BPS.
