Dates, Deadlines, and Fees
The Spring 2016 BPS Examination will be held April 21, 2016 through May 7, 2016.
The Fall 2016 BPS Examination will be held September 22, 2016 through October 8, 2016.
Candidates testing in Egypt and Saudi Arabia will be offered a paper-based examination on April 20 and 21, 2016 for the Spring 2016 testing window, and September 21 and 22nd, 2016 for the Fall 2016 testing window. In both Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the BPS examinations will only be available on these dates. Candidates testing in these two countries should check the Spring 2016 Candidateâ€™s Guide for specific information regarding exam administration in their country.
In order to help assure the greatest probability that candidates receive their preferred test site and date, BPS recommends registering as early as possible.

Applications for the Spring 2016 exam must be submitted by the March 11, 2016 deadline.
If a candidate requires accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the request must be submitted by the March 11, 2016 deadline.
Other Important Dates
Domestic candidates must submit their scheduling request at least four days prior to their preferred testing date during the scheduled test administration window (May 3, 2016)
International candidates must submit their scheduling request at least ten days prior to their preferred testing date (April 27, 2016)
International candidates taking the paper-based exam must schedule their exam no later than March 30, 2016
All name change requests must be received at least 10 business days prior to the candidate's testing appointment to ensure the correct name is listed on the exam admission ticket.
The certification application fee is $600 for those candidates licensed and practicing in the United States or Canada.
The certification application fee is $685 for those international candidates licensed and/or practicing outside of the United States and Canada.
Certification retake application fee is $300
Only candidates who have failed the certification exam within the past year are eligible for the reduced rate.
All fees are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Board.
Payments are made in US dollars by check, cashier's check, or money order made payable to Board of Pharmacy Specialties, e-check, or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). Purchase orders can NOT be accepted.
