“FAST FACTS” for RECERTIFICATION

• Recertification is required every 7 years.
• Recertification Fee - $400.
• Checks, Money Orders, Credit Cards are accepted.
• All BPS-certified pharmacists register annually. The Annual Fee ($100) is not charged in the year the individual is due to recertify.

Recertification by Continuing Education

• Available for all specialties EXCEPT Nutrition Support.
• Application Deadline (Postmark) - August 1.
• CE Completion Deadline – December 31

Recertification by Exam

• EXAM DATE - FIRST SATURDAY IN OCTOBER.
• Application Deadline (Postmark) - August 1.
• Candidate Numbers and Admission Permits - mailed to applicants two weeks prior to the exam and required for admittance.
• Typical Exam Day – 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
• 100 Multiple Choice Questions make up each specialty exam.
• Results are available within approximately 60 days.
• Examination Retakes are permissible within a one-year period.
