Fees and Payment Methods

The fee for first-time applicants for specialty certification is six hundred dollars ($600) payable in US dollars to the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS). Payment MUST be submitted with the completed application form no later than August 1.

Check, money orders, or credit card charges (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) will be accepted. Purchase orders can NOT be accepted. There will be a $10 fee for checks returned due to insufficient funds.

Candidates who have failed an examination within the past two years will receive a special application form directly from BPS early in the year and may retake the examination at a cost of $300.

NOTE: The Annual Fee is not charged in the year the individual is due to recertify. When applicable, an invoice for the Annual Fee is mailed in the spring.
